We're thrilled for the annual Fight For Air Climb to return to Comerica Park this Spring! The signature fundraiser for the American Lung Association will take place throughout the day on Sunday, May 1.
To signup - please register at www.ClimbDetroit.org as a VOLUNTEER.
Volunteer photographers and videographers are needed to help capture the energy and excitement of the day. As a Volunteer Photographer, you'll be asked to join us for a 4-hour volunteer shift to help capture our participant and partner's photos. Your images are a favorite component of the event.
Some of the imagery we are hoping to capture again this year are candid photos, start and finish line pictures for all participants, venue shots, sponsor and partner images of products and signature, volunteer and staff engagement, and more! You can view our photos from last season here: 2021 Fight For Air Climb Detroit - ALA (midlandlung.org).
As a photographer, you know everyone is so excited to see their shots, so we ask our photographers to upload within a few days of the event to our smug mug photo gallery. You are welcome to watermark your imagery for gallery use but understand that all image rights are reserved to the American Lung Association upon delivery of images.
Last year more than 1,100 participants and volunteers joined us, including more than 275 firefighters and first responders! Join the American Lung Association in Michigan in their efforts to end lung cancer and lung disease, as well as support the Lung Association’s COVID-19 Action Initiative. The COVID-19 Action Initiative is a $25 million investment to address COVID-19 and protect against future respiratory virus pandemics.
To volunteer - please register at www.ClimbDetroit.org as a VOLUNTEER. During the registration process please indicate your interest as a volunteer photographer. Please contact us at EventsMI@lung.org or 248-784-2000 (option #4) for more information.
As a Lung Association event, our community's health and safety are of our top priority. To learn more about Our Climb Safe Commitment which includes spatial distancing, health screenings, sanitation protocols, and face masks, please visit the event website.

Mission Statement
The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
Description
For more than 115 years, Americans have trusted us to protect their lungs, whether it's researching treatments and cures for lung diseases, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air we all breathe.
Our goals are big-defeat lung cancer, create a tobacco-free future, champion clean air for all, and improve the quality of life for those living with lung disease.
Because when you can't breathe, nothing else matters.
