Description

We're looking for detail-oriented and creative public relations interns to join our remote team for the summer. In this role, you will help to run AsylumConnect's speaking & awards program, update media lists, and draft and send media pitches. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who is passionate about LGBTQ+ equality, immigrant rights, tech for social good, and interested in pursuing a career in PR/media.

Responsibilities
  • Build and regularly update media lists and editorial calendars.
  • Draft and send pitches to relevant journalists/reporters (via email, phone and social media).
  • Review incoming HAROs and Google Alerts for new pitching opportunities.
  • Maintain events/awards/speaking engagement calendar.
  • Draft awards/speaking submissions, as needed.

The free InReach App is the world’s first tech platform matching LGBTQ+ people facing persecution or discrimination with safe, verified resources.
