Description About InReach: We are InReach, a trans-led tech nonprofit building the world’s first open source verified LGBTQ+ resource platform. InReach is available on web (desktop and mobile), native iOS, and Android. Our vision is to ensure every trans and queer person has on-demand access to the safe resources they need to thrive. Over 420,000 people have used InReach to access verified LGBTQ+ resources. Expanding awareness of InReach is critical to ensuring more LGBTQ+ people-such as trans folks, people of color, and immigrants-can find the support they need. We’re looking for new Community and Provider Outreach Volunteers to help build relationships with LGBTQ+ centers, libraries, direct service providers and other community organizations across the country and ensure InReach reaches those who need it most. Outreach Campaigns Volunteers will be asked to select one to two of the following outreach campaign areas to focus on: Disability Justice - Engage disability justice organizations to improve and promote InReach as a resource for the LGBTQ+ disability community. LGBTQ+ Pride Centers - Connect with LGBTQ+ centers across the country to share InReach’s free verified LGBTQ+ resource platform. Public Libraries - Help bring InReach into more public libraries as a resource for LGBTQ+ patrons/staff/volunteers. Racial Justice - Identify additional improvements to our free platform that advance racial justice while ensuring QTBIPOC communities know about InReach. Refugees Welcome - Expand outreach to agencies and other relevant providers to ensure LGBTQ+ asylum seekers, refugees, and immigrants know about InReach. Safe Schools - Help introduce InReach to educators and school staff to support LGBTQ+ students nationwide. State Legislation - Raise awareness of InReach as a critical resource for transgender folks and queer families navigating anti-LGBTQ+ state policies. #TransMascFutures - Assist in outreach efforts to amplify the #TransMascFutures Campaign and spread trans joy at this pivotal moment for trans justice. Responsibilities Research and build a list of relevant service providers and community organizations to contact in their chosen campaign(s). Represent InReach in introductory calls and platform demo meetings with service providers and community organizations relevant to their chosen campaign(s). Solicit feedback from service providers and other organizations to help InReach continue improving its free verified LGBTQ+ resource platform to address the needs of the selected campaign(s). Use relevant personal and/or professional experience and insights from introductory conversations to help inform and refine InReach’s messaging on the campaign topic. Qualifications Passion for LGBTQ+ rights, social justice, and community engagement. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Comfortable representing InReach in calls, presentations, and meetings. Interest in digital outreach and marketing strategies, including SEO and link referrals (experience preferred but not required). We’re looking for passionate Fundraising & Giving Campaigns Volunteers to help amplify and secure more donations and philanthropic support for two of InReach’s key campaigns: 1M Lives by 2030 Campaign: A bold initiative to connect 1 million LGBTQ+ people with safe, affirming resources by 2030. #TransMascFutures Campaign: A trans-led digital campaign highlighting positive stories from the diverse trans masculine community and increasing access to safe, verified resources through the free InReach platform. Responsibilities Support the '1M Lives by 2030’ Campaign: Assist in planning and executing peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns to mobilize individual donors. Help develop fundraising appeals, donor engagement emails, and social media content to increase individual giving. Research and identify foundation grants and corporate partnership opportunities that align with this initiative. Support the #TransMascFutures Campaign: Identify and reach out to companies/brands interested in supporting trans justice through corporate sponsorship. Assist in crafting sponsorship outreach materials and proposals. Research corporate social responsibility (CSR) trends and potential partners in industries committed to LGBTQ+ equity. General Fundraising Support: Assist with maintaining InReach’s fundraising CRM, ensuring accurate donor records and tracking. Draft email campaigns (using MailChimp) featuring key updates and calls to action to keep supporters informed and engaged. Support donor outreach and stewardship efforts to strengthen relationships with InReach’s supporters. Help track fundraising campaign performance and compile reports on key metrics. Qualifications Passion for LGBTQ+ rights, social justice, and fundraising. Strong online research, writing, and project management skills. Interest in donor engagement, corporate sponsorship, grant research, and nonprofit fundraising strategies. Comfortable reaching out to individuals, companies, and foundations to secure funding and support for InReach’s campaigns. Willingness to leverage personal and professional networks to help amplify fundraising and sponsorship efforts. Experience with MailChimp, CRM platforms, or fundraising tools (preferred but not required). Detail-oriented with the ability to track and organize fundraising data. Responsibilities Build and regularly update media lists and editorial calendars. Draft and send pitches to relevant journalists/reporters via email, phone, and social media. Monitor media trends to identify timely opportunities for InReach to secure press coverage. Support the creation of press materials, including press releases, media kits, and talking points. Track media mentions and engagement, reporting on key press coverage. Assist in responding to press inquiries in coordination with InReach’s leadership team. About the Role: Social Media Volunteers will work closely with InReach’s Managing Director to maintain and expand InReach’s digital presence across multiple social platforms. Responsibilities Report to InReach’s Managing Director. Manage and maintain InReach’s social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Bluesky, YouTube, and TikTok. Ensure all social media content aligns with InReach’s organizational voice and branding. Create engaging graphics, videos, and other visual content using Canva to promote: The free InReach platform and its impact; Current events affecting the LGBTQ+ community (e.g., legislation, public discourse); Educational content on LGBTQ+ issues. Engage with community partners, content creators, and relevant social accounts to build relationships, collaboration opportunities, and visibility. Develop strategies to increase InReach’s social media following and engagement. Assist with additional digital communications and operations tasks as needed. Qualifications Reliable access to a computer and internet connection. Available for 2-5 hours per week. Passionate about LGBTQ+ rights and eager to learn. Comfortable working independently in a remote environment using tools like G Suite, POINT, Discord, Zoom, Canva (graphic design), and Hootsuite (social media management). Knowledge of basic design principles; experience in social media management, graphic design, and/or video editing is a plus. * Applicants are encouraged to submit samples of previous social media work with their application. Monitor and refine ad campaigns, providing strategic recommendations for optimization. Write compelling ad copy that drives engagement and increases visibility. Analyze campaign performance and assist in preparing performance reports for InReach staff. Qualifications Willingness to learn Google Ads. (Google Ads certification is a bonus!)
