During these uncertain times, how can we help?

We want to change the nature of local economies, starting with neighborhood meal sharing. This is an ambitious project that looks to affect not only economic opportunities for women, for refugees, and others who may be at-home makers and cooks, but to the structure of who owns that platform and how it grows in a sustainable way.
A group of software engineers are involved in this project at https://whatscookin.us. It is technically not a nonprofit, but a benefit corporation that has shared governance by stakeholders.
We want people who can help tell and shape this story, involve communities on the ground, and make sure that this project genuinely benefits those on the ground and that people are aware of it to take advantage of it.

We created civ.works as a platform for all of us to work together to overcome the corrupting influence of money in politics. Together we can address bad policy, legislation and to hold all of our elected officials accountable. For democracy to work -our government must represent "We the People". civ.works: Together. We can.
civ.works is a privacy protected social platform built for meaningful civic action.
The concept of civ.works is to finally provide a societal machine to stand up against something created nearly 50 years ago -and begin the process of empowering citizens again. We are building a platform together -against an incredibly mature and well-funded machine. Your volunteer efforts will be helping us collectively build something powerful and important.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
