Danbury Westerners Baseball Club

The Westerners are an all-volunteer organization founded in 1995. The team is composed of college baseball players from all over the USA and plays in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. We play a 44 game schedule in June and July against teams from all six New England States. 23 former Westerners have played Major League Baseball and 260 former Westerners have played in the minor leagues.

We also bring in 14 college and high school students each summer in our internship program. Many of our interns have gone on to careers in sports.

Volunteers can fill a wide variety of rolls and devote as much or as little time to the organization as suits them. Examples of possible roles include volunteering on game nights, taking on an executive role such as treasurer, working on fundraising or filling a role you create.

We need people who like baseball and are willing to learn about the team, it’s mission and it’s history. The reward will be spending time with likeminded people and contributing to the success of an organization that entertains local baseball fans and helps young people develop on and off the field.
