Intern Job Description - Marketing, Graphic Design & IT

From The Bottom Up Foundation (FTBUF) is looking for qualified interns to join our team. As we prepare for the launch of our programs and initiatives we seek an intern who can participate in various stages of digital and online marketing campaigns.

This intern should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, virtual team environment and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation of images, circulars, mock ups, email campaigns, digital/online/social promotion, etc.

Assist in the distribution or delivery of marketing materials

Assist with the fulfillment of marketing offers

Assist with the preparation and delivery of materials

Perform analysis of marketing and online data

Seek and analyze competitor marketing materials offline

Prepare presentations

Enter contact information into contact management systems

Provide support to social media efforts

Monitor social media for trending topics to utilize on social media channels

Maintain tracking report of public relations activity


Requirements:

Current College student majoring in Marketing, Communications or Advertising (or a related field)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Extensive knowledge of social media

Driven and hard-working

Ability to take direction and multi-task

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

PowerPoint, Word and Excel

Google Suites

Slack

Other duties may be assigned

From The Bottom Up was the title of the debut album from the Grammy nominated and award winning R&B group Brownstone. As one of the founding members of Brownstone, Nicci Gilbert who hails from Detroit, MI has stayed true to her humble beginnings and has never forgotten the struggle and hard work that it takes to reach the top - from the bottom up. From The Bottom Up Foundation was created by Nicci Gilbert Daniels with this journey in mind. Our purpose is to provide support, tools and support for BIPOC women and girls.
