Share your time. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to welcome our employees and guests in our front office. We also need someone with a lovely voice to answer phones, when needed. Are you up to the task?
VITAS Volunteers make a difference every day... helping those at the end of life and their families. The gift they give is their time as part of our hospice team effort.
VITAS is the largest and one of the nation’s oldest hospices, serving patients throughout Program Name since year. We provide a special form of care for people during the last months of life-focused on adding quality to this special time.
All VITAS volunteers receive comprehensive training.

Description
Volunteers are the heart of VITAS Healthcare, providing friendly, non-medical patient and family care and offering support services in our office. VITAS Healthcare is looking for volunteers who are able to share their time with hospice patients living at home, nursing homes or ALF. Hospice volunteers give their time to terminally ill patients and their caregivers during a critical time. In orientation classes they are trained in listening skills, family dynamics and the right words to say to patients and their loved ones at the end of life.
