Do you love to read? Do you want to make a positive difference in our community? Become a hospice volunteer and share your love of reading with one of our patients. Brookdale Hospice is looking for someone like you who loves to read and can share some time and talent with a patient. You get specialized hospice training from our staff and get to make someone's life a little better-- their life and your life. Serious inquiries only: must pass background check, drug screen, a TB test, and complete orientation. Weekly covid testing in our office is also required and you'll wear full PPE when you visit and read to your patient(s).   • volunteers usually spend an hour a week reading to their patient. depending on how much of time commitment you'd like to make, you could spend up to four hours a week with your patient(s).
