About the role :
We now have an exciting opportunity for a volunteer Fundraising Campaign Manager to remotely lead the develop ment and implementation of strategic plan s for fundraising cam paigns , including fundraising goals, targets, messaging and communications . Reporting to the H ead of Fundraising and Partnerships , you will be res ponsible for the full remit of fundraising campaign m anagement from campaign planning to the ongoing cycle of campaign development . This role does not include grant applications; we have a separate grants team plus a number of different teams including creative assets to support you.
To be successful in this role, you will need good experience and confidence in d evelop ing and test ing new initiatives and innovative campaign ideas to drive fundraising outcomes .
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and test new fundraising ideas and opportunities
- Build and maintain external relationships with major donors or companies , making sure they are kept informed of campaign progress and key milestones
- Build and maintain internal relationships with different teams including creative, marketing, communications, copywriting and PR
- Help to write campaign copy and to create promotional assets and coming up with a plan to promote the campaign
- M anage the crowdfunding campaign for our pilot project on https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/nyansakia-ii-primary-school
- Create and maintain a donor database
Requirements:
- Proven e xperience of managing successful fundraising campaign s
- Ability to utilise both online and offline fundraising techniques
- Good exposure to leveraging digital platforms for fundraising
- Ability to actively take initiative and help set things up in a start-up environment
- Ability to actively seek and give input in a collaborative team environment
- A committed team player with good communication skills
- Available to volunteer at least 7 -10 hours a week

African Development Choices (ADC) is a UK-based Social Enterprise on a mission to reduce poverty in Africa by empowering local communities and their leaders to make more informed choices in the management of public resources so that they can independently meet their own needs for essential services. Improving public resources management is key to establishing a sustainable society. And increasing access to essential services, such as clean water and sanitation, is key to fighting poverty because lack of access to essential services is a root cause of poverty.
We achieve this using our unique approach to reduce poverty as follows:

- Increase access to essential services
By delivering access to essential services through our donor-funded community projects, we set better precedents in the management of public resources and the delivery of essential services. Then we raise expectations through education and support and mobilise communities to play an active and informed role in the management of public resources so that they can enact change for themselves. We achieve this by sharing information from our projects that provides a new perspective. It’s not the information that empowers communities to participate; it’s raised expectations from a new perspective.
