This position supports the National Headquarters (NHQ) Biomedical Services (BIO) team. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home opportunity).
Seeking an experienced developer to evaluate and advise in the development of an upgrade to an existing web application developed in Classic ASP and Visual Basic.NET web forms.
We are seeking an experienced developer to evaluate and advise in the development of an upgrade to an existing web application developed in Classic ASP and Visual Basic.NET web forms. Possibly providing a template for development work to follow.
This is a remote position and familiarity with Microsoft Teams and working with a remote group of engineers is helpful.
- Mentoring current team to learn and utilize newer technologies to expedite completion of the project.
- Develop framework, templates, sample code, etc. to guide development.
- Participate as a senior developer on the team.
- 16-20 hours per week
All Required: 5+ years’ experience developing custom web applications using following programs:
- ASP.NET Core MVC
- ASP.NET Core Razor Pages
- Microsoft Visual Studio
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016 on Azure
- C# Programming
- Entity Framework / ADO.NET
- Azure DevOps
- jQuery UI, HTML5 and CSS
- Microsoft Teams
- Experience with mentoring development teams
- Experience working in a remote environment and dealing with team members remotely
