ORGANIZATION: COMMUNITY CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC INC

Offer your skills as a gardener or working with children by becoming a garden program assistant at the Community Child Guidance Clinic's new Grow Ahead Gardening Program. We are looking for volunteers who are interested in helping us to maintain our grow racks and gardens outside and in, as well as the plants in our 18' greenhouse (year-round!). Tasks will include things like watering, weeding, staking, pruning, pest control, harvesting, and helping to care for our five koi fish.

For those that are interested and available during school hours, we may also be able to offer opportunities to facilitate gardening-related activities with the students at our therapeutic day school, and we are always looking for assistance as we continue to develop the program and create a broad curriculum that will keep the kids engaged and learning in the garden and during time spent outdoors.

We are very flexible and appreciate any amount of help you can provide! Gardening experience is preferred but not required, we can teach you what we know and continue to learn together!
