Full Job Description

The Global Impact Initiative is a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization located in Austin, Texas. We provide transformative education and learning, professional development, skill-building workshops and mentoring to individuals, families, and communities. We facilitate meaningful connections between local and global organizations, to build bridges of understanding and promote lifelong learning. This is a part-time (5-10 hours per week), volunteer position.

This is a VOLUNTEER role, which is a non-salaried position.

The purpose of this role is to help raise funds for Gii, so that Gii can continue to provide services to meet the needs of its target population.

Duties (including but not limited to):

In coordination with the Vice President/Operations Director and other Gii leadership, you will:

• Develop local, community, and virtual fundraising and awareness events
• Assist in developing fundraising specific flyers for dispersal
• Approach individuals, schools, universities, businesses and other organizations for sponsorship and donations
• Deliver presentations, when applicable
• Maintain confidential information
• Meet or exceed fundraising goals outlined by Gii leadership
• This is not an exhaustive list of all duties performed; other tasks may be assigned, as the need arises

Job Skills Requirements:

• One year of experience fundraising for a nonprofit organization
• Able to commit to at least 6 months of volunteer service
