Traditions Health is looking for volunteers like you to donate their time and talent to make a difference in the lives of our hospice patients in the Commerce Area. You can make a HUGE impact on many lives! Your time and experience will help Traditions' patients and families that are living with a terminal illness. There are so many ways that you can help...reading books, simple conversations, Listening, giving a caregiver a break and just being there. Traditions Hospice's volunteers benefit from our patients sharing their life experiences. This is also a great opportunity to put your experience on your college application or resume. No special skills required except for a willing heart and helping hands. Free training which covers general information about hospice and how it works, volunteer do's and don'ts, and safety information. Requirements for volunteers include background check, TB test, brief physical, and drug screen. We are happy to cover the cost of these requirements. If volunteers are working directly with patients, we ask that they be vaccinated for COVID or be tested for weekly. We are happy to work with your schedule and will keep you as close to home as possible.
