NEXT Village is looking for good people like YOU to play a role in guiding the organization’s efforts to serve and support older adults.

Associate Board Member

We’re looking for energetic San Francisco & Bay area residents interested in progressive, innovative approaches to aging in this culturally rich and diverse society we live in. NEXT needs board members who have an interest in any of the needs below:

  • Ready to jump into the challenges and rewards of fundraising
  • Full of creative ideas for innovative programs
  • Excited about event planning, from small workshops to large parties
  • Connected to the SF community
  • Comfortable with online platforms like Facebook, Zoom, and Mailerlite

Board members attend monthly board meetings (4th Tuesdays, 5-7 PM), join NEXT Village as an Associate or Full Member, and join a committee that works on membership, fundraising, or programming.

Description

NEXT Village SF promotes better health, fosters an active lifestyle and fights social isolation among the large and growing 60+ demographic in northeast San Francisco. We know that better physical and mental health result from the increased community interaction and personalized support available to members of our Village.

With the help of volunteers, NEXT Village San Francisco provides a common sense, neighborhood-based approach for aging adults who want to remain in their own homes, promoting engagement, connection, and awareness.
