During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Project Outpour operates a mobile shower trailer to provide shower access to individuals moving through homelessness. We partner with other service agencies to set up service on their site. Monday's we operate at Angels & Sparrows Soup Kitchen. We need volunteers to assist with set up, service delivery, and packing up. Tasks will involve gathering supplies requested by guests, cleaning showers in between guests, talking to guests, and assisting with keeping the area organized and running smoothly. The health and safety of our guests and volunteers is our top priority. Volunteers can expect to be outdoors all or most of the time, with gloves and masks, and socially distant. We practice strict cleaning procedures between each shower usage, as well as a weekly electrostatic spraying process. Gloves and masks are worn at all times. Volunteers are invited to participate on a weekly basis or on a one-time basis.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Project Outpour's mission is to provide shower access to persons moving through homelessness, alleviating suffering and promoting holistic health and dignity.
We bring our mobile shower trailer to specific, scheduled locations and provide shower service. We got our start in 2018 when our founder was inspired by speaking to a man moving through homelessness who had not had access to a shower in over 2 weeks. Our goal is to provide services several days per week, and in or der to do that, we need at least 2 volunteers per shift, helping guests, cleaning the shower units, and visiting with our neighbors coming to receive services.
