Volunteering with Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County is so rewarding and easy!
-Volunteers deliver meals ONE day per week, Monday-Friday for 60-90 minutes.
-Volunteers pick up the packaged meals at one of our neighborhood meal sites in Forest Hill between 10:30 and 11:30 A.M., and deliver to approximately 8-12 clients, all located within a several mile radius.
-You can volunteer individually or with a friend, family member or colleague. Meals on Wheels is also an amazing group experience for your company, church, or organization!
-Pick a day that works best for you. For example, if you choose Tuesdays, you have the option to deliver the same route every Tuesday OR become a Tuesday substitute-the choice is yours!
-After you sign up to volunteer with us, you will complete a criminal background check (THIS IS NOT A CREDIT CHECK) and our easy, online orientation.
We will provide you with a set of Meals on Wheels insulated bags, mask, sanitizer, and A WHOLE LOT OF GRATITUDE! If you are interested in becoming a Meals on Wheels volunteer, please contact:

To promote the dignity and independence of older adults, persons with disabilities, and other homebound persons by delivering nutritious meals and providing or coordinating needed services.
Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County provides hot, nourishing meals to elderly and disabled persons who are unable to provide meals for themselves. The meals, plus daily contact by caring volunteers and professional case management allow frail, homebound persons to remain in their own homes...where they want to be.
