Summer Miniature Train Engineer and Conductor Positions Open

Train to operate a 16 inch gauge park train and volunteer to work on Saturday, Sundays and holidays during the summer months of May through October. Hours are Saturdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday and holidays noon to 6 p.m. Each day consists of 2 shifts; 4 hours each on Saturday and 3 hours each on Sundays and holidays. Volunteers are expected to work an average of one shift per weekend. Positions to be filled are engineer, conductor, brakeman and ticket agent. Ordinarily the train crew (engineer, conductor, brakeman) rotates to the next position every hour so it never gets boring. We have 3 trains and you will be trained to operate each train. Training will begin in late March and continue through April. We have a manual of safety and operating procedures and a written test must be passed to show you are familiar with the rules.
