Creative and looking to make a difference? The Longest Day Recruitment Committee is the place for you! Through the Alzheimer’s Association Central New York Chapter, you can help businesses, clubs and organizations get involved in our signature DIY-driven event. The Longest Day shines a light on the darkness of Alzheimer’s and all other Dementia through individual fundraising events. The flexible style allows participants to use their passions to make a difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s.
As a volunteer, you would be able to use your own skills to help others in your community get involved! Responsibilities of recruitment volunteers include:
Meeting and networking with key individuals in the community. Think about who you know and their hobbies! Could their interests or skills be turned into a fundraising event for The Longest Day?
Recruiting, training and leading Longest Day participants is also part of the role. You’ll encourage members of your community to get involved in the cause, coach them on how to have a successful fundraiser, and see them through to the end of their event!
Part of recruiting new teams and participants for The Longest Day, is thinking about the different organizations, schools, religious groups, and corporations that make up your community. Would they be interested in raising awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association? Maybe someone has a personal connection you never knew about; the key here is never be afraid to ask!
If you are interested in joining the Longest Day Recruitment Committee contact us now!
