During these uncertain times, how can we help?
See below to access our COVID-19 Resource Hub, and to explore our growing directory of COVID-19-specific and virtual volunteering opportunities.
Are you tech savvy? Do you enjoy supporting others as they navigate technology? Are you looking for an opportunity to support families as they build healthy reading habits together? Words Alive is now recruiting Tech Wizards to support our Family Literacy Program, our early childhood education series!
Volunteers in this role will provide on demand Zoom tech support as needed to facilitators and participants in the program. Volunteers must be comfortable navigating zoom, assigning roles, setting up screen shares, trouble shooting audio and video, and managing breakout room assignments. Volunteers will also get to observe and participate in activities conducted during the workshops.
Volunteers must attend a Words Alive orientation and training. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required for participation.
