Are you tech savvy? Do you enjoy supporting others as they navigate technology? Are you looking for an opportunity to support families as they build healthy reading habits together? Words Alive is now recruiting Tech Moderators to support our Family Literacy Program, our early childhood education series!

Volunteers in this role will provide Zoom tech support as needed to facilitators and participants in the program including: welcoming participants and taking attendance, muting/unmuting participants, changing participant names, take screencaps, and send chat messages to support families. Volunteers must be comfortable navigating zoom, assigning roles, setting up screen shares, trouble-shooting audio and video, and managing breakout room assignments. Volunteers will also get to observe and participate in activities conducted during the workshops.

Volunteers must attend a Words Alive orientation and training. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus, but not required for participation.
