The Trans Peer Mentor Program provides a safe space for transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse community members to receive peer mentorship as they navigate their journeys of self-discovery and expression.

The program pairs transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse mentees with similarly identified, experienced mentors. These mentorship pairings provide mentees with an opportunity to discuss issues of interest, to feel heard and affirmed by a supportive role model, and to receive assistance in processing their journey of self discovery and expression.

Mentors commit to meet with their mentees at least twice per month for at least one hour each time. Scheduling of mentor-mentee meetings is at the discretion of the pair. Mentors also commit to a monthly meeting for all mentors on the second Sunday of the month 1pm-3pm.

***While this is currently a remote opportunity, mentors do need to be local to the Bay Area so they can attend monthly meetings in Oakland once the pandemic ends.
