Join the Dogs on Deployment team and help promote our mission assisting military and veteran families nationwide with help with their pets' care through fostering, advocacy and financial assistance. Dogs on Deployment is currently accepting applications for volunteers in any and all positions. Our philosophy on volunteerism is simple: we believe in putting your skills and talents to use within our organization, and finding a position or project for you to be a part of that will satisfy your desires to give back to the community and help others.

What we're looking for:

• A highly, self-motivated volunteer who understands and is familiar with Dogs on Deployment's mission!
• Someone with excellent organizational, critical/creative thinking, communicative and time-management skills.
• Proactive and outside the box thinkers, that can bring new ideas to help promote Dogs on Deployment's mission.
• A volunteer who can work independently, meet time lines and execute projects with little oversight.
• Due to the investment of the non-profit to on-board volunteers, we ask for a minimum 6 months in any volunteer position.

Dogs on Deployment volunteer positions are non-paying. However, Dogs on Deployment is a fast-growing, successful non-profit with long-term goals for success and growth. On a practical note, build your resume, receive a recommendation for future work for a job well done, and build relationships nationally with reporters and media contacts from several different media sources and locations!
