Hospice of the West
Hospice of the West is seeking veterans to volunteer in a several areas. The first is Veteran-to-Veteran support to a veteran patient or caregiver. This is an opportunity to provide conversation, companionship, and support to these individuals. Second, we are looking for support for our Veteran Pinnings, a special ceremony that recognizes volunteers in the community in addition to our patients and volunteers. Finally, we would appreciate support of our Virtual Veteran Coffees.
We will provide 8-10 hours of cumulative training opportunities to prepare the volunteer to address the specific needs of patients and caregivers. Call us at 602-343-6422 or email us at email@example.com to apply or receive more information.

WHAT DOES A VOLUNTEER DO?
There are many different types of volunteers and many ways to get involved. Below is a list of volunteer types:
Companionship or meaningful presence
Light meal preparation
Arts and crafts
Play therapy (games)
Administrative (clerical tasks, office errands, organization of events)
Interpreter service (including sign language)
Minor home repairs
