Bristol Hospice understands that Veterans have special needs. We have such a large community of Veterans and wish to provide the best for our veteran patients. Our We Honor Veterans program matches our active duty, retired or previous service veteran volunteers with the veteran patients who are interested in companionship from another veteran. We are looking for Veterans who want to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of those facing terminal and end-of-life illnesses.
Our volunteers meet bi-monthly or weekly providing companionship and/or caregiver relief. These visits take place at their place of residence in a home or facility. We also provide We Honor Veterans Pining Ceremonies and other honoring activities.
In May we had a surprise CO State Licensure Survey and passed with 0 deficiencies - basically an A+!!
Volunteers serve the patient and their family under the guidance of the Volunteer Coordinator. We provide all PPE and Covid precaution training in addition to our general hospice orientation/training.

Bristol Hospice is a hospice agency that allows patients to spend precious time with loved ones in the comfort of their own place of residence. Hospice care aims to provide physical, mental and emotional comfort and support to the patient and their family. We put the heart in hospice, and volunteers are a major part of the team.
