Keep Music Alive is a national non-profit on a mission to help more kids (and adults) reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music. We are currently preparing to celebrate the 7th Annual Teach Music Week, which is one of two music holidays founded by our organization. Each year, we partner with over 1,000 music schools, stores and other music organizations around the world to offer free lessons to new students and hold special events that benefit kids playing music. We are in need of additional volunteers to help send individual Teach Music Week emails to music schools and stores in our database. This part time position runs from January 25th through March 5th, and due to the tedious nature of the task, there will be a financial stipend included. Applicants should be organized, relatively quick on the computer keyboard and have an interest in supporting music education. To learn more about the position or to apply, please email us directly at info@KeepMusicAlive.org - Thank you in advance for your interest!

Our Keep Music Alive mission is to promote the value of music: for children's education, for the many types of therapy now utilizing music, and for our overall happiness as a society. Our goal is to increase the number of kids and adults reaping the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music.
Keep Music Alive is the founder of two international music holidays: Teach Music Week (3 rd week in March) and Kids Music Day (1 st Friday in October). Teach Music Week is designed to encourage musicians and music schools everywhere to offer a free lesson to new students (kids or adults). Kids Music Day is designed to encourage music schools and retail locations to hold community events featuring kids and music. In 2017 , there were over 600 music schools and retail locations participating in these two music holidays.
Kids Music Day now appears in the official Chase Calendar of Events and several large chains have participated in Teach Music Week/Kids Music Day including Guitar Center, Music & Arts, School of Rock, Music Together, Kindermusik and Long & McQuade. We are seeking volunteers to help make Kids Music Day and Teach Music Week internationally recognized holidays that serve as annual rallying points for music education.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
