Keep Music Alive is looking for volunteers to help with some of our musical instrument petting zoos in New Jersey. We host events at schools, libraries and community events. These events are extremely fun interacting with kids and letting them try out a few instruments. Musical experience is not required but is definitely a plus. Keep Music Alive representatives will demo a few of the simple instruments for you before event starts. Thanks in advance for considering this opportunity! About Keep Music Alive Our Keep Music Alive mission is to help more kids (and adults) reap the educational, therapeutic and social benefits of playing music. Our major programs are Teach Music Week (March), Kids Music Day (October) and year-round musical instrument petting zoo events.

Keep Music Alive is seeing volunteers for Musical Instrument Petting Zoo events happening in Spring 2023. at several locations in the Delaware County area. NOTE - You do not need to be a musician to assist - we mostly need friendly faces to help us interact with families at our exhibit. We bring guitars, ukuleles, keyboards and dozens of different types of percussion instruments for kids to play with - its basically a "please touch museum" for musical instruments. We're not teaching kids how to play, we are simply showing them how to make the sounds so they will be inspired to start their own musical journey. If you are interested please send a note and we'll reply right back - thanks in advance for your time and consideration! Keep Music Alive seeks to have diverse representation within our volunteer teams. BIPOC and LGBTQ candidates are encouraged to apply About Keep Music Alive - Keep Music Alive is the founder of Teach Music Week (March) and Kids Music Day (October).
