FoodCycle LA is a hunger relief nonprofit. Our program bases are located in the communities we serve. Strict controls will be maintained to promote health and safety at all times.
The start date for this position is January 25th, 2021.
Position Purpose
We aim to work with creatives (videographers) that live in and are connected to the communities we work alongside. Creatives document our hunger relief work and, most importantly, capture stories from community members, volunteers and staff to inspire others to advance our mission.
This is a ongoing, volunteer position (frequency: 2 days per month (1st and 3rd Wednesday); the creative will partner with FoodCycle LA to capture video and images on a monthly basis at the selected program location.

You Should Apply if:
- You have experience as a videographer and/or photographer working to share stories that drive impact on both a local and global level.
- You are interested in advancing the mission of FoodCycle LA.
- You champion ethical storytelling - recognizing not only the importance of sharing stories of impact, but also the importance of how these stories are shared, what information is provided and how sharing will affect the people/communities involved.
- You are open to constructive feedback on your work and always looking to improve collaboration with clients.

Description
FoodCycle is seeking passionate and dedicated volunteers to help further our mission in fighting hunger and ending food waste. We need volunteers on an ongoing basis to recover food from various restaurants, grocery stores, and food markets around Los Angeles. In addition to Food Recovery Drivers, we are looking for assistance building up our social media presence across all platforms.
