Volunteers United/AmeriCorps Seniors program recruits volunteers for non-profit agencies in Martin County, matching volunteer interests and skills to create a meaningful, rewarding volunteer experience.
The mission of the organization where this opportunity is located is dedication to victims and their families. Through their care and support they strive to protect client dignity and rights. Their goal is to sensitize the law enforcement community and the public to victim's needs through education and example.
Volunteers are needed to work with advocates, attorneys and victims of crimes through the judicial system. they will provide support, accompaniment, resources and referrals while upholding victims rights, and provide help with their unmet needs throughout the commmunity.
Requirements include: 4 hours per week between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday - Friday
Specialized training will provided.
Background check required.
Must be 18+
HS Diploma or greater
Computer skills
Compassion and multi-tasking
