HVAC/Mechanical engineer desired to help with climate battery modeling and design for these structures: https://www.onecommunityglobal.org/aquapinis-and-walipinis/ This link will take you to the videos on the page that explain what a climate battery is and how it works: https://www.onecommunityglobal.org/aquapinis-and-walipinis/#climate-battery The design process will be overseen by a senior engineer.
Requirements for this position:
* Undergraduate degree or greater
* HVAC design experience a plus but not required
* Must have AutoCAD software and experience
* Minimum 10 hours a week work-from-home position
* Minimum 3-month commitment to the design process
* Must have exceptional research and writing skills
* Must have excellent communication and accountability for collaborating virtually
What is the project?
One Community is a 100%-volunteer nonprofit sustainability think tank creating open source sustainable food infrastructure. We've completed more current greenhouse designs than what are shown in the links above but need to finish the related climate battery designs. The climate battery is about 50% designed and we are seeking 2 additional engineers complete the final research, calculations, and designs.
