Transports help save lives by taking cats from shelters where they are at a high risk to rescue groups in other communities with higher save rates where they can be adopted into loving homes. You can be a part of this life-saving work by helping at a transport stop.
Have you ever been on a long road trip, and after a full day of driving all you wanted was a warm, safe place to sleep and a good meal? Well, some cats will soon be traveling in your direction, and they could use a little help from someone like you.
Best Friends is transporting about 50 adorable, adoptable cats from Winter Haven, FL, to New York, where they will find their forever homes. But before they get there, they’ll be stopping overnight in Fredericksburg, VA.
These fuzzy, four-legged travelers will need a few volunteers to help them get situated for their brief stay. This will involve doing some unloading, making sure they are all fed, watered, and bedded down for the night, cleaning up their kennels and helping them get back on the road the following morning.
