Take Stock in Children in Seminole County Florida is looking for mentors for high school students. This opportunity is now face to face. Volunteers must live in Seminole County Florida for this volunteer opportunity.

Mentors meet with their student for 30 minutes once a week and Take Stock in Children requests that you stay with your student for one year. At the end of the year you can choose to continue with your student or end your time. Some mentors stay with students for all 4 years! Seminole County Public Schools are currently signing up mentors for Fall 2021.

Mentoring will take place during the school day so between 7:20a.m. and 1:30p.m. and is not required when the school is closed.

Volunteers must be 55 or older for this opportunity.

Previously known as Florida Senior Programs, VCI has been the sponsoring agency for the REtired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Foster Grandparent Programs since 1977. Our 36 year presence has proven our aptitude for providing meaningful and impactful volunteer experiences.

VCI provides membership benefits and support to volunteers aged 55+, at no cost to the volunteers or their volunteer stations. Just a few of the benefits of membership include: Supplemental insurance while volunteering, a dedicated coordinator, and matching to find the perfect position to fit the interest of the volunteer.
