Here at Aurora Youth Options we work with Middle and High School-aged youth and their families to navigate, connect and provide positive, individualized resources to help youth thrive. We are in a time of great change and adaptation and with your help we can assist each other during these times. Our "business as usual" means that we are in contact with one another face to face and leaning on each other as we relate through similar interest, personalities, and life experiences. Are you wanting to support a young person in need now, and in the future? Join AYO as we connect virtually with our community with the hope of moving forward with face to face soon. Once we are back to business as we know it in the mentoring world, matches are provided free tickets to cultural events such as Nuggets, Rockies, and Avalanche games, the Denver Zoo, the Museum of Nature and Science, the Art Museum, and plays and musicals. Mentors have regular contact with Mentor Specialists for monthly feedback, coaching, and support as needed. We look forward to connecting!

Description
The Cultural Development & Wellness Center Adult Education Program at Aurora Mental Health & Recovery helps immigrants, refugees, non-native English speakers, and others to gain the skills and knowledge they need to be self-sufficient in their community. Beginning in 2003 as a program of Asian Pacific Development Center (APDC), our Adult Education services have helped thousands of adult students to learn English, pass the General Education Development (GED) test, apply for citizenship, adjust to the workforce, and more. Our goal is to assist adult learners in obtaining the skills and knowledge needed to meet their goals and be self-sufficient. We have a welcoming school community for all adult learners, regardless of their language, educational background, or immigration status.
Aurora Mental Health & Recovery’s Adult Education Program also provides learning opportunities through workforce training, tutoring, and more! Students can receive support from our Wraparound Services Program, Victim Assistance Department, and Behavioral Healthcare Clinic.
