New York City, 34 year-old environmental organization is looking for volunteer bike ride leaders and coordinators. Time's Up is an environmental organization which hosts dozens of bike rides in NYC every year. These bike rides help build confidence in new bike riders and build a sense of community, which helps create bike lanes and sustainable infrastructure.
We are looking for people with bicycle experience and some leadership skills to help us with the events.
You will be helping out on some bike rides, possibly as a leader or as the tail guide to keep people together at the end of the ride.
You will also have the option to organize your own bike rides and help us promote them.
Some current bike rides that require support are the annual new year bike ride, moonlight rides through the park, art rides, staten island and brooklyn rides, etc.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or if you are interested in volunteering. (billtimesup@gmail.com)
We are happy to work with you.

About Time's Up

Location:

626 E 14th St., New York, NY 10009, US

Mission Statement

TIME'S UP! educates people about the environmental impacts of everyday purchases. We focus on transportation issues in New York City and have been instrumental in involving cyclists and skaters in large, mobile actions.

Description

TIME'S UP! is a grassroots environmental group that has been working on environmental issues for 27 years. Educational outreach and direct action are the two most important aspects of TIME'S UP! We hold more than 100 free outdoor and indoor events each year. Our campaigns range from saving community gardens to promoting non-polluting transportation. In 2012, Time's Up! partnered with the Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space (Morus) in lower east side of Manhattan, which archives the history of the community and gardens, advocating community engagement and sustainable urban design.
