Volunteer Dispatcher

Many seniors and people living with disabilities find it difficult to go grocery shopping for a variety of reasons. These individuals rely on the kindness and generosity of volunteers in our community. Volunteer shoppers donate their time to shop and deliver groceries to fixed-income seniors age 60+ as well as health compromised older adults 55+. Our volunteer dispatchers piece the whole puzzle together by matching seniors' needs with shopper availability.

Dispatchers answer calls and emails to facilitate matches between clients and volunteer drivers. Dispatchers are needed mid-day from 10am - 2pm, and can choose what day they would like to volunteer. Dispatchers can volunteer from their own computer, and training and support from Volunteer Center staff is abundant and easily accessible. We ask that dispatchers volunteer for at least 3 months.
