Background

As a member of the United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UNMGCY),

Helping Hand International was first established in 2016 in India, and works on youth

empowerment, capacity building, awareness advocacy, social activism, humanitarian

engagements, and global partnerships for the SDGs. The Switzerland Branch was

founded in November 2020, working under this main vision with specific focus on:

equity (especially gender and race), access to policy making and justice, human

rights, civil participation, health awareness (especially COVID-19), income

generation, education, environmental protection, promoting the mentality of peace,

and cultivating a next generation of righteous leaders. Through local efforts and

collaboration with global partners and other HHI branches, HHI Switzerland

contributes to rights protection, shared prosperity, and sustainable development via

people-centered and result-focused initiatives. We are looking for a Global

Partnerships Officer to join our new team, supporting organizational global

partnerships, donor relations, fundraising, and public communications. This position

reports directly to the President of the HHI Switzerland Branch, working in

collaboration with the HHI Switzerland Program Management Team and Social

Media Team.

Position: Global Partnerships Officer

Location : Geneva ; remote work

Duration: Open-ended; part-time

Payment: Unpaid volunteer

Primary Responsibilities:

● Lead efforts in global partnerships, donor relations, fundraising, and public

communications, especially in Switzerland (Geneva).

● Perform detailed research on potential local, national and global partners and

funders.

● Assist the President in managing relationships with partners and funders

(including but not limited to: governmental offices and programs, high-profile

organizations such as the United Nations, NGOs, think tanks, foundations,

academic institutions, and individual experts).

● Accompany the President in outreach meetings and assist with event planning

as needed.

● Draft organizational reports and public communications in collaboration with

the Program Management Team and the Social Media Team.

● Work in collaboration with other global HHI branches in joint projects.

● Support budget management as needed.

● Other functions in support of the team as needed.

Required Qualifications:

● 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in strategic partnerships, donor

relations, fundraising, and/or public communications, ideally at international

level, with experience in NGO.

● Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience.

● Exceptional understanding of and interest in youth empowerment, human

rights, humanitarian, sociopolitical, and SDGs-related issues, especially in

Switzerland (Geneva).

● Experience working with high-profile professionals, including government

officials and international organizational leaders preferred.

● Knowledge of working relations with the United Nations is a plus.

● Strong communication, relationship management, research, and drafting

skills.

● Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines and priorities.

● Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and supportive manner in a

diverse team environment.

● Excellent attention to details.

● English language proficiency required; proficiency in other languages are

plus.

● Excellent computer skills, including MS Office and Google Suite.
