Board members connect the local work of Slow Food to the national and international movement. You'll be charged with bringing the support of Slow Food’s national and international resources to our vibrant food community. We are seeking board members who feel personally connected and committed to the Slow Food mission of good, clean, fair food. Who feel charged up and ready to support joy, justice, and equity in Minnesota’s food system.
If this is something you're passionate about, and you have time and energy to share, consider applying to be a board member.
Here’s what you need to know:
Passion for an equitable food system is a must
Board terms are three years
Must be a current member of Slow Food USA
The commitment includes ~5 hours/week, monthly board meetings, participation on a committee to guide projects
Experience in community organizing, volunteer management, finance, events, communications, and fundraising desired

Slow Food is a place where you can connect with the work of joy and justice in our community. Food justice means good, clean, fair food for all.
Our commitment is connecting you to the incredible work that is happening in our own backyards. And, to connect community leaders doing the work with national and international leaders and resources to help them along the way.
We are farmers, home cooks, vintners, musicians, chefs, wine lovers, moms and dads, grocers, brewers, writers, nutritionists, students, bakers, lawyers, engineers-united in our support for good, clean, fair food that is equitable, just, and inclusive.
