Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
Volunteers are essential to MDA’s mission of transforming the lives of people living with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. While much of our volunteer opportunities have shifted to a more virtual setting, we are looking for a group of committed volunteers to assist with calling our dedicated partners in the retail space (ie. grocery stores, convenience stores, fast food restaurants, casual dining, banks, etc.) during their annual fundraising campaigns.
This volunteer opportunity can be done virtually from your home. Responsibilities include attending a brief training and contacting partners to collect information, offer support, and strengthen our partnership to enhance their fundraising efforts. We anticipate this opportunity to connect with our partners to be a weekly commitment of 3 hours/week and 30-40 phone calls on average.
By signing up, you will be contacted once a volunteer opportunity becomes available and you’ll work hand in hand with an MDA staff partner or another volunteer leader to ensure your volunteer experience is a rewarding one, while helping to fuel MDA’s mission.
Volunteer Requirements: While the position is remote, volunteers will need access to a computer, internet, and phone.
To register for the opportunity, volunteers must first register as an MDA Volunteer at www.mda.org/volunteer, then sign up for the retail opportunity here: http://mda.force.com/volunteer/GW_Volunteers__PersonalSiteJobListing?JobID=a0T2L00000KpABw&nMonthsToShow=12
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

MDA is leading the fight to free individuals -- and the families who love them -- from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases that take away physical strength, independence and life. We use our collective strength to help kids and adults live longer and grow stronger by finding research breakthroughs across diseases, caring for individuals from day one and empowering families with services and support in hometowns across America.
The Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) is the world’s leading nonprofit health agency dedicated to finding treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and other neuromuscular diseases. It does so by funding worldwide research; by providing comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide; and, by rallying communities to fight back through advocacy, fundraising and local engagement. Visit mda.org and follow us at facebook.com/MDAnational and @MDAnews.
We'll work with your schedule.
This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.
