Seniors in South Seattle are looking for volunteers to take them to important medical appointments. Uber is a very expensive alternative. Many Seniors' children work during the day and can't provide every ride. Volunteer Services is looking for volunteer drivers to take older adults and adults with disabilities to medical/dental appointments. Clients live in South Seattle neighborhoods: Hillman City, Columbia City, Rainier Beach, and Beacon Hill. You will meet really interesting older adults as they love to share their stories. This is a very fulfilling way to help your community. Sign up today!
A little background on Volunteer Services:
Volunteer Services, a program of Catholic Community Services, assists low-income older adults and adults with disabilities. Volunteers can provide assistance with transportation, grocery shopping, and yard care. With a little help from volunteers, clients can continue living independently in their own homes.
Due to the vulnerable population we serve, volunteers must complete an application, pass a background check and driver's abstract, and attend an orientation.
Please note: Following the guidelines of King County Public Health during COVID-19, volunteer opportunities may be subject to change.
