Harbor Hope Center is a private non-profit established to serve homeless minors attempting to complete their education. We also provide mentoring to at-risk students. We serve the greater Gig Harbor /Key Peninsula communities.

Be a positive influence in youths’ lives and get to know students in need in your community! Harbor Hope Center is in critical need of volunteers to provide transport for disadvantaged students. Students come from Harbor Hope Center’s Care Homes, Host Homes, and throughout the Gig Harbor and Key Peninsula community and need rides to and from activities, appointments with doctors and counselors, school, and work on occasion. There are no upfront time commitments, though a volunteer would ideally be available for some weekday, daytime transport (though the need does arise for weekend and weeknight transportation). Volunteers only drive students of the same sex, unless there are more than 2 people in the car and they consent to the arrangement. Interested? Please contact us today.
