By meeting together weekly, a mentor smooths the path into young adulthood by providing a long-term relationship focused on supporting the growth and development of the youth/young adult mentee. Join the events team at Harbor Hope Center by helping to plan and facilitate our annual events. Our next big event is October 6th, 2023, and is our annual Gala/auction at Ocean 5. This event helps to end youth homelessness in the Gig Harbor/Key Peninsula area. This event brings in up to $200,000.00 and is a big part of our annual budget. You will have a great time working with some wonderful people on the planning and/or the day of event team. Help end Youth/Young Adult homelessness in our area by providing housing, education assistance, and skills needed to help them to become self-sufficient. A Host Home is a private home with a compassionate person or family who wants to make a difference in the life of an at-risk or homeless youth/young adult. A Host Home can be offered for a period that you are comfortable with, whether for a week, a month, a school year, or longer. Virtual Opportunity
Fundraising and design promotional materials to increase awareness of Harbor Hope Center's organization's work, goals, and financial needs. Call local community members to set up appointment to meet with our Executive Director. Contact local organizations to have Executive director speak at events. Care for our donors who make everything we do possible. Helps to develop and facilitate a culture of appreciation towards donors and volunteers. Ensure that all stakeholders feel good about their interactions with the organization. Track relationship developments in CRM (e.g. adding contacts, creating accounts, updating notes) Being a team player and protect the mission, goals and values of the organization. Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures. Collaborating with the Executive Team Members to determine and prioritize business strategies, assist in setting weekly meeting agendas.
