NYSoM (New York State of Mind) is a multiservice community organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families living in the communities we serve. We aim to further our mission through:

Community Events - we host a multitude of events, often educational or recreational in nature, throughout the year with the hopes of offering residents in our target communities a positive alternative to their normal surroundings.

Community Outreach Programs - we offer a number of programs directly to sectors of our target communities including senior citizens, children, young adults & the homeless.

We are seeking a Volunteer Marketing Manager within the NYC area to better support NYSoM in their programs to better serve the community. The responsibilities of the Marketing Manager include:

· Responsible for our posting and marketing our community events online via websites like Eventbrite, Goldstar and any other site that lists events in the NYC area.

· Analyze web traffic and relevant community metrics including online reviews.

· Expand NYSoM’s influence by maintaining relationships and contact with volunteering partners.

· Initiate future volunteering partnerships.

· Relay community feedback to social media manager.

· Communicate and coordinator with the social media/ marketing manager to produce ground public relations efforts.

Qualifications

· Must be located within the New York City Area

· Must be 18+ years old

· 1-3 Years of marketing, business experience OR

· Active or completed education in business, marketing, or a related field.

· Good communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

· Previous volunteer/ non-profit experience preferred.
