Virtual Opportunity
We are seeking a Volunteer Social Media Manager to manage and be the virtual face of NYSoM Group. The responsibilities of this include: · Update NYSoM social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) with event information and updates. · Create content in regard to past, present, and future, events, volunteering efforts, and communicating NYSoM activity. · Coordinator social media events and linking said social media accounts to the NYSoM website. · Editing and managing of the NYSoM Website. · Cooperating with our Community Manager to pipeline volunteering needs. This is an ongoing opportunity but can be done for a period of 6 months with the option for long term volunteering. Qualifications · Must be 18+ years old · 1-3 Years of experience in Social Media Management relations OR · Active or completed education in business, journalism, marketing, or a related field. · General knowledge of search engine optimization. · Good communication skills, attention to detail, and accuracy. We are seeking a Volunteer Visual Media Manager (Photographer) to capture moments at our community and outreach programs while also uploading this content to our NYSoM website. The responsibilities of this include: Create photographical and video content directly at our NYSoM sponsored events. Editing photographs via software (eg. Adobe Photoshop) to create original and appealing content. Cooperate with our social media manager to exchange content plans. This is an ongoing opportunity but can be done for a period of 6 months with the option for long term volunteering. Requirements Must be 18+ years old. Be Located in the NYC Area. Must be able to Provide Camera. Must be available on most Saturdays to photograph events. Must have experience with photography and photo editing software (eg. Adobe Photoshop). This is a fantastic opportunity for young photographers to add to their portfolio and gain experience. The NYSoM Hunger No More project is a monthly activity where NYSoM distributes care packages (sandwiches, water, snacks, face masks and other care products) to people experiencing homelessness in different points of Manhattan. Your help is very much appreciated and welcome, whether you would like to join us one time or become a monthly volunteer. On Saturday September 7th we will distribute in East Harlem. Email us to volunteering@nysomgroup.org to register and we will send you the location details. Volunteers must be 21 or older and wear face masks to participate in this event.
