Due to Covid-19, Temperature checks and completion of a brief questionnaire are required upon entering the office. Masks are required to be worn when not at work space. Work areas/cubical have walls, are sanitized between use, and persons are seated 6-feet apart. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available as needed.

Have great phone skills and enjoy connecting with people? Have basic computer skills?

Homeland Hospice's Bereavement Counselors could use your help! Make labels for monthly mailings; check-in with families via phone calls to learn how they are doing, if they are receiving mailings, and/or need additional support. Training and guidance is provided, as well as a script/outline for the phone calls. Be a part of a wonderful team! Enjoy office comradery, coffee and snacks while you work!

Bereavement Care is an essential component of hospice care that includes anticipating grief reactions and providing ongoing support for the bereaved over a period of 13 months.

Volunteer schedules are flexible. Due to HIPAA guidelines, this support must be provided in the Hospice office. Assistance can be provided any time during office hours - Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:30PM. Preference is for weekly assistance, but all help will be considered.
