*Due to COVID-19, we work entirely remotely. Nonetheless, we are primarily seeking Chicago applicants and applicants with ties to Chicago.
Season to Soar provides support to individuals who suffer from social and economic injustice, fosters cultural exchange and understanding and creates resources for the disenfranchised. We primarily work with Chicago youth in underserved communities, through our Global Leadership Youth Program, and most recently, through COVID-19-focused action.
Role: Outreach Committee Member
Overview
Collaborate with committee members to recruit youth program facilitators, committee members, and board members.
Interview and onboard new recruits.
Identify potential school and business partners and establish strategic and mutually beneficial relationships with those organizations.
Work closely with other committees to help with their short- and long-term volunteer needs.
Responsibilities
Outreach committee members have the primary responsibility of seeking, identifying, and recruiting volunteers to fill the various roles within Season to Soar.
Secondarily, the Outreach committee is tasked with seeking new school partnerships to expand our Global Leadership Youth Program, as well as finding new business partners interested in furthering Season to Soar’s goals.
Desired Experience and/or Characteristics
Experience in Human Resources
Experience interviewing new employees
Excellent organizational and communications-management skills
Keen interest in recruiting others to Season to Soar’s mission
