RoleOverview

In this role, you will use your design and artistic skills develop and create original animated content for School Group that meets the visual standards of the marketing team. 

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to develop new and innovative animations and motion graphics. 
  • Ability to draft and present your ideas to the Creative Services Marketing Manager and the Chief Marketing Officer. 
  • Ability to visualize and create animations based off verbal or written concepts in order to tell a story or explain educational information. 
  • Ability to work with other mediums such as photography, digital illustrations, and video files. 
  • Create detailed shareable content that can be shared to various web platforms that include (but not limited to) YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and WordPress. 
  • Must be self-motivated and time efficient in order to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Basic

  • 1+ year of professional or elevated animation experience. 
  • Passion for creativity and a limitless imagination. 
  • A portfolio that examples the animator's completed projects. 
  • Expert familiarity with current graphic design and animation software. 
  • Advanced familiarity with animation platforms and various video file formats (from animated GIFs to MP4s). 
  • Strong hands-on experience using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere and After Effects. 
  • Previous experience working with social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and WordPress. 

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or Animation.  
  • Prior nonprofit or media experience a BIG plus.  
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint helpful. 
  • Experience working remotely as part of a team.  
  • Experience working in a start-up company, non-profit or entrepreneurial environment.  
  • Self-directed and disciplined with the ability to work independently in an ever-changing environment.
