At Lantern, we provide permanent housing and social services for people who have been homeless for a long time, come from disadvantaged communities, and deal with issues such as mental illnesses, physical disabilities or HIV. We also provide housing for young people who have aged out of foster care. We have 16 supportive housing buildings located in Manhattan, Brooklyn and the Bronx, and serve a total population of about 1,500 people. We also operate and support two emergency shelters: one in Queens and the other in Washington Heights



Currently, Lantern is looking for an HR volunteer that has experience or wants more experience in Human Resources. The responsibilities are clerical in nature, and include assisting the electronic/digital conversion of employees' files via scanning, saving and organizing electronic documents.

We need someone who is available two days per week for a total of 14 hours. The individual must be highly organized, reliable, confidential, and skilled in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
