Pierce County food bank needs volunteers right now. Emergency Food Network (EFN) distributes food to 80+ food pantries, meal sites, and shelters in Pierce County. Many of these sites are entirely run by volunteers or rely heavily on volunteer assistance to accommodate the 114,000 visits made each month. This is a volunteer opportunity available with one of our friends and partners.

Mission Statement
The mission of Emergency Food Network is "to provide Pierce County with a consistent, diverse and nutritious food supply so that no person goes hungry."
Description
"Currently, 1 in 10 people in Pierce County face food insecurity, and this need is continuing to rise. Through our 75+ Partner Programs (food pantries, meal sites, and shelters) all over Pierce County, EFN distributed over 14 million pounds of food in 2023 to our neighbors in need, including fresh produce grown at EFN’s Mother Earth Farm. This work was made possible by our 2,000+ volunteers, who worked over 12,000 hours in 2023. Volunteer work is vital in helping EFN pursue our mission of ensuring no person goes hungry. Volunteer opportunities include the Repack Project, Home Delivery, EFN’s Mother Earth Farm, and special events throughout the year. We hope you will join us!"
