Help Pinellas County voters get ID!

Nationwide, VoteRiders provides voter ID education and assistance to all those in need. Here in Pinellas County, VoteRiders Tampa Bay is helping eligible voters get the ID they need to cast their ballots in person -- one voter at a time. And since ID is necessary for housing, for employment, and for so many other aspects of life, you're making a difference for members of our community well beyond Election Day.

Our local volunteers do the following:

1) Help clients get their state ID or driver's license at the tax collector's office. This is an in-person opportunity, either Wednesday morning in St. Pete or Friday morning in Clearwater.

2) Work with clients to obtain the documents they need to get ready for their appointment. This can often be done virtually but may require occasional in-person contact.

Full training is provided, and all expenses are either prepaid or promptly reimbursed.

We help voters who need to obtain ID to vote in their state with services including: * covering the cost of required documents (birth certificates, Social Security cards, name-change court orders, etc.) for low-income voters; * arranging transportation to their local DMV to secure their voter ID; * pro bono legal assistance with documentation; and * information about voter ID requirements, via our toll-free Voter ID Hotline (844-338-8743), online and in-person with on-the-ground teams.

VoteRiders wallet-sized Voter ID Information Cards are a unique and really valuable resource - because they’re precisely accurate and clear - for the literally million of voters who lack a valid ID or who need confidence that their ID is acceptable. In fact, VoteRiders' wallet cards are crucial for voters as backup in the polling place in case of misinformed poll workers. Cards are available for all 50 states + DC in English and Spanish. They are free to download and print from our website, or 501c3 organizations can apply to VoteRiders to have us print and ship them for voter education and outreach efforts
