FOOD: Pantry Prep

Save to Favorites

Porchlight Community Services

Volunteers in Porchlight Community Services' pantry will help set up for their drive-thru food distribution, pack grab n' go boxes, and help distribute food into their clients' cars.

Porchlight Community Services rescues food from going to waste and offers healthy options for low-income families with strict food restrictions and allergies that are not usually available at food pantries.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Porchlight Community Services is to empower lives, promote healthy eating and eliminate food insecurity.

We rescue food from becoming food waste by saving less than perfect foods from restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, and more, which helps provide individuals the option to choose foods they can use.

We run a dual program that provides a FoodSHARE for struggling families and a free option for low-income families to attain food. We are helping a community that is disproportionately affected by food insecurity - A people with generally no way of getting aid to reach self-sufficiency.

Our organization thrives on building community and is fueled by volunteers with a common goal choosing to come together.
