ORGANIZATION: START SMALL THINK BIG INC

We are developing content for a bilingual (English and Spanish) cohort of underserved entrepreneurs trying to grow their small business.

The content will take entrepreneurs through the fundamentals of their business' finances. Looking at systems of financial management (both at home and in the business), and options for accessing capital.

Many of these business owners are monolingual Spanish speakers, and we'd like a volunteer to help us translate workshop content, facilitate a Spanish-language workshop, and offer a session of office hours for the audiences to ask follow-up questions.

We're likely looking at late afternoons through November.

We're looking for a volunteer with Spanish and English fluency, and some experience in entrepreneurship or small business finance/banking.

Description

We focus on partnering with BIPOC entrepreneurs, women, LGBTQIA+ entrepreneurs, immigrants, veterans, entrepreneurs with disabilities, low-income entrepreneurs, and formerly incarcerated entrepreneurs. We help identify entrepreneurs’ areas of need and provide them with free technical assistance across the finance, marketing and legal areas. We do this by connecting them with our community of corporate partners and skills-based volunteers - so small businesses have the network and resources they need to grow on their own terms.
