Aurora Lakeland Medical Center urgently needs volunteers

Safety is our number one priority and many processes have been put into place to ensure our volunteers and patients are as safe as possible including proper personal protection, social distancing and screening at all our entrances. All volunteers will be trained on these aspects. All volunteers are required to wear a mask during the entire shift. And all volunteers are required to have the flu vaccine this flu season. We offer this free of charge to our volunteers.

Our goal with the following two volunteer opportunities is to welcome our patients and visitors and help them feel safe and comfortable in our hospitals and clinics.

• Front Entrance Ambassador -Ambassadors will assist with helping patients/visitors find their way to their appointments throughout the hospital. You will greet patients at the front entrances, wheelchair assisting, and walking the patient to the appropriate area for his/her care.

• Assistant Screener Role- Volunteers can assist with taking temperatures of patients/visitors at the screening tables. The volunteer will distribute masks to patients/visitors at the screening tables. (select hospitals as outlined on the online volunteer application.)
